Irish Premier Division club Bohemian have completed the signing of Eoghan Stokes from Leeds United, it has been confirmed.
The Dublin-based club announced on their official Twitter account on Thursday that Stokes, 21, had agreed terms to move to Dalymount Park, subject to international clearance, and could make his debut in a big top-flight derby against Shamrock Rovers on Friday.

Stokes had his deal at Leeds terminated two weeks ago after the January transfer window slammed shut, yet the Bohs’ announcement states that he has been signed from the Yorkshire club.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international had only ever made one senior appearance for the Whites despite being one of the more promising young players to have developed in the club’s academy over the past five years.
The Irish Sun had reported that the centre-forward had been on trial at Shamrock Rovers and even featured in a friendly match for them last week.
However he has controversially decided to join their Dublin rivals Bohemian ahead of the 2018 Irish Premier Division kicking off this week.
Football Insider verdict
Stokes looks set to revive his career with a decent move to Bohemian. Even though the Irish top-flight is perhaps the quality of League Two or the National League in England, it will give the forward a chance to earn some invaluable senior experience. He never had a loan spell away from Elland Road so his solitary first-team appearance against Newport County in the EFL Cup in August was his only real senior achievement in Yorkshire. It is understandable that he agreed to leave after such a lack of opportunities and it seems he failed to secure a loan or permanent exit in January. Leeds fans will no doubt be wishing Stokes well at Bohemian.
