The teenager becomes the third player to secure a move to the North London club after defender Davinson Sanchez and goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga both completed deals to Spurs earlier this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino will be delighted to add another defender to the squad this season as Spurs have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their opening three Premier League matches.
The Argentine impressed in his debut campaign with the Estudiantes first-team last season, helping to keep four clean sheets in his six appearances.
Foyth also featured for the Argentina Under-20 national team in this summer’s World Cup tournament in South Korea where he played the full 90 minutes in every single match.
Tottenham will be hopeful that the youngster will be able to improve on his game whilst training alongside defenders such as Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
Football Insider verdict
Tottenham fans will be delighted that the club are finally managing to get players over the line before the transfer window shuts on Thursday evening. Foyth has the potentially to become a fine defender in the new future and he will no doubt benefit from training with a side who has boasted the best defensive record in the Premier League for the last two seasons. There had been reports that French giants Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in signing the defender but it shows that Spurs are going in the right decision as they managed to snap Foyth up. Although he might not enjoy too many minutes this season, he is certainly one to look out for in the near-future.
