Exclusive: Millwall in advanced talks to agree Kyrell Lisbie deal
Millwall are in advanced talks to complete the signing of Peterborough United winger Kyrell Lisbie, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship outfit are closing in on an initial £3million deal for the 22-year-old, who starred for the Posh last season.
The Lions are looking to strengthen their hand for another promotion push next term, and view Lisbie as a player with huge potential to develop.
Sources say that the total value of the transfer could rise as high as £6m in future if certain conditions are met.
Peterborough have an esteemed reputation for developing young talent and selling them on, and the wideman looks set to become the next to make the jump to a higher level.
Lisbie notched 11 goals in his debut League One campaign last term, and also added seven assists in a struggling team.
Kyrell Lisbie set to continue rapid rise
Lisbie dazzled in the third tier last season, despite having no prior experience in the Football League.
Peterborough moved quickly to sign the starlet from National League side Braintree Town last summer, and after just one campaign in their colours, he is set to complete a move to the Championship.
Lisbie netted 17 goals in all competitions for Braintree back in 2024-25, and his rise since then has been meteoric.
He quickly became one of the first names on the teamsheet for Luke Williams, and is now closing in on a move to the Den.
Millwall have grown increasingly close to securing promotion to the Premier League in recent years, and in 2026-27 they will be hoping to make their dream a reality.
Lisbie has established himself as one of the brightest talents below the Championship, and Alex Neil and Co. are now determined to get their hands on him.
Celtic ready to sell Millwall target
Football Insider recently revealed that Celtic will listen to any offers that come their way for young striker Johnny Kenny this summer, amid interest from Millwall and Bolton.
The 23-year-old impressed during a loan stint with the latter last season, when he notched six goals and three assists from 14 games to help the Trotters to promotion.
His exploits have caught Millwall's attention, and it looks increasingly liklely that he will find himself on the chopping block at Celtic.
Martin O'Neill shipped the starlet out in January, and it is expected to be difficult for him to force his way back into the boss' hands, meaning a permanent move will likely be on the cards.
