El Hadji Malick Diouf one of five West Ham stars who’ll look to quit London Stadium

El Hadji Malick Diouf could be one of multiple stars to leave West Ham United this summer, according to Keith Wyness.

The former Everton chief executive, speaking to Football Insider, dropped his verdict on Diouf’s future amid increasing interest in the defender.

The 21-year-old has made an impression during his first season in the Premier League, with Manchester United one team exploring a move this summer.

West Ham are under huge threat of losing their Premier League status this season, meaning key players would be expected to leave the club.

The financial situation at West Ham also makes player sales likely, with the Hammers having recorded a loss of £104million in their latest accounts.

West Ham face players ‘looking to leave’ the club this summer

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Man United won’t be the only club pursuing Diouf this summer.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness though thinks Diouf’s future depends on whether West Ham can avoid relegation to the Championship.

El Hadji Malick Diouf’s 2025-26 Premier League stats at West Ham United.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “It’s going to depend on the relegation situation.

“We know West Ham are favourites again to go down, and it won’t just be Diouf. There’ll be Jarrod Bowen, and there’ll be Fernandes.

“There will be a few West Ham players that’ll be looking to go. There could be four or five high quality players that could go from West Ham. So I think he’s one.

“In terms of Man United, they would quite fancy him at left back, but we will see a lot of competition around Diouf. He’s going to be very sought after.”

Tottenham to pounce in the transfer market for West Ham star

Whilst Crysencio Summerville has long been tipped to leave the London Stadium this summer, there is now a concern that the forward could join rivals Tottenham.

Sources have told Football Insider that Spurs could make a move for Summerville, and exploit their situation if they’re relegated from the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has become one of the Hammers’ most important players in their relegation fight under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Summerville has been reignited in the second half of the season under Nuno, and he will be expected to stay in the top flight if West Ham do suffer relegation.
