The futures of Liam Delap, Marc Guiu, and the returning Nicolas Jackson are increasingly unclear, with the Blues likely set to struggle to offload them.
The addition of Emegha into the mix could make for some uncomfortable decisions, while other clubs will be monitoring the situation.
Everton transfer chiefs will be among those watching closely, with the striking situation at Hill Dickinson Stadium still needing to be addressed.

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider earlier this month that Delap’s attitude could be a problem for Everton, amid interest in the Chelsea striker.
The Toffees are reportedly among the clubs interested in the former Ipswich Town striker, who could be offloaded following a poor first season at Stamford Bridge.

And he is not the only one – Jackson came close to leaving Chelsea permanently last summer, but the 24-year-old is now set to return from a loan move to Bayern Munich.
Even Guiu, who has made just 15 appearances across all competitions this season, is likely to be looking for a move away.
The situation could call for Chelsea to loan Emegha out for his opening Premier League season, especially with the 23-year-old just returning from a major injury.
The Netherlands international scored 14 goals last season and looked set for another strong campaign before suffering several big issues.
Emegha has recently made his return and scored against Mainz on Thursday as Strasbourg progressed to the Conference League semi-finals.
Everton suffering their own striking situation
Everton will have their own questions to answer up front this summer, although they will be far less complicated than those at Stamford Bridge.
Thierno Barry, who arrived last summer, struggled massively at the start of the season before a period which saw him score four goals in five games in December and January.
Since then, however, the 23-year-old has again lost his place to Beto, who has netted three goals in his last two games.
David Moyes may well be keen to let the strikers keep jostling for position, but the arrival of a better option would undoubtedly be ideal.
Should Everton complete a dream drive towards European football, though, three strikers may well be exactly what is required.
