European top-flight club eyeing Leeds 27-year-old - report

Serie A side Bologna are eyeing Leeds centre-back Giuseppe Bellusci, according to a report.
Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato Web have reported on Thursday that the 27-year-old, who spent the season on loan in Italy’s top-flight with Empoli could be being targeted for a return.
The former Italy Under-21 international was unable to keep Empoli in Serie A last season after they finished in 18th place with just 32 points won from their 38 league matches.
The defender featured 33 times for the relegated side and was a prominent part of the back four, but he did also receive 15 yellow cards across the campaign.
He has had similar struggles at Leeds and after joining in an initial loan deal in the summer of 2014 he has failed to impress in his 61 appearances for the club.

He could now be rescued by Bologna, who finished in 15th place in Serie A last season as the Italian club look to bolster their squad in an attempt to move clearer of the relegation zone.
Bellusci himself only has one-year left on his contract with Leeds and it is expected that the Yorkshire giants won’t put up too much of a fight to keep him.
Football Insider verdict:
This is the summer that Leeds have to cut their ties with Bellusci given that he has so far proven to be a failure at the club. This is the last chance for the Yorkshire side to receive some sort of fee for the player they paid out £1.6million for three years a go and they could certainly command a six-figure deal from a club in Serie A. Leeds currently have a much better centre-back in Pontus Jansson at the club and if the Yorkshire side are serious of winning promotion next season then they will need better players than Bellusci in their back line.
In other Leeds transfer news, Jonny Howson has rejected a contract at Norwich.
