Mills Exclusive: Ancelotti backed to pull off 'Gareth Bale-like' Everton signing
Carlo Ancelotti has the pulling power to entice Isco to Everton in the new year in a sensational “Gareth Bale-like” deal.
That is according to Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley about the prospect of the Real Madrid attacking midfielder heading to Goodison Park.
The Daily Mirror claim Isco is keen to leave the Bernabeu and reunite with former Real Madrid colleagues Ancelotti and James Rodriguez.
The Spain international has fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane and it is reported that the La Liga giants would be open to letting Isco leave on a loan-to-buy deal that becomes permanent next summer for £18million plus add-ons.
Mills suggests that Everton can now seal the type of A-list signing that were beyond them before their current manager took over.
“Isco could happen purely because of Ancelotti,” Mills told Football Insider. “Before him, do I think it would have happened? No, but this is Carlo Ancelotti.

“He’s brought in Allan, he’s brought in James Rodriguez, he clearly has a very close connection with players that he’s worked with. Players seem to like him an awful lot.
“He gets on well with and has a fantastic relationship with players he’s worked with previously, no matter what club that is. Nobody has a bad word to say about him.
“Isco’s out of favour and there’s every chance that is a deal that can be pulled off.
“Isco is a magnificent player. It’s a bit like Gareth Bale, how can you not use players of their ability? It doesn’t matter if your Real Madrid or Barcelona or whoever.
“Isco is an outstanding talent and he’s not young anymore. He’s an experienced player and very talented.
“If anyone can pull that off, certainly Carlo Ancelotti can.”
In other news, Everton can’t believe how good summer signing has been this season.
