Sam Allardyce announced his line-up for the Premier League match with Burnley on Saturday lunchtime, as the beat the adverse weather conditions known as the Beast from the East.

But fans are baffled and fuming as to how Davy Klaassen isn’t on the bench – specially as Morgan Schneiderlin is.

The team news was posted on the official Everton Twitter page on Saturday morning and the club got it right the second time after their first graphic had Omar Niasse starting and on the bench.

Everton start the day three points behind high-flying Burnley in seventh but can’t leapfrog them with a win because of their massively inferior goal difference.

However, fans will be hoping Allardyce actually tried for the three points after criticising their manager for setting the team up to secure points in games Everton fans think they should be winning.

And, despite Burnley’s position in the league, this is a game they’ll think they should be getting something out of – despite the lack of Klaassen.
