Everton have been linked with a move for Burnley defender Michael Keane – and the cub’s supporters on Twitter believe he would be a great fit at Goodison Park.

The Daily Mail claim that the Toffees are invested in a summer move for the 24-year-old centre-back.

The report details that they will face tough competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester for his signature.

Keane was rewarded with his senior England debut on Wednesday night during the 1-0 defeat away to Germany in an international friendly.

Everton fans were impressed with the defender’s performance for Gareth Southgate’s side and someone urged Ronald Koeman to complete a deal for him in the summer.

Keane has developed into a crucial player at Turf Moor and helped Burnley romp to the Championship title last season.

The powerful centre-back has continued to perform in the Premier League this season and has helped the Clarets to 13th in the table.

He is regarded as one of the standout players at Burnley and his displays this season have been recognised by his nation.

Keane will hope to be involved at the weekend when England host Lithuania in a World Cup qualifier, before focusing on maintaining Burnley’s top-flight status.

Meanwhile, Everton are pushing for a European spot in Koeman’s first season in charge and they are seventh in the Premier League.

He signed Welsh defender Ashley Williams to improve his defence at the beginning of the season and fans are hoping Keane will play alongside him next season.
