Everton have Leo Scienza open goal as release clause revealed, it’s awful news for Tyler Dibling

Everton could be about to let Tyler Dibling leave this summer, with the door opening for them to make a move for Southampton winger Leo Scienza.

The Toffees are part of a whole host of clubs who are chasing a deal for the Brazilian this summer, with Tottenham, Leeds and Aston Villa all keen to secure his signature.

The 27-year-old has been in electric form for Southampton with seven goals and eight assists in the Championship, and he dazzled with a player-of-the-match display against Arsenal in the FA Cup recently.

Scienza appears destined for the Premier League, given the interest that is mounting ahead of the window, and the Merseysiders will be desperately hoping that they can win the race.

Everton are keen to strengthen their squad once again ahead of next season, and that could see them make some ruthless decisions in the coming months.

Leo Scienza transfer surely inevitable amid £25m reveal

Scienza’s performances in recent weeks have made a move to the top flight appear increasingly likely, and we are surely now at the stage where it has become an inevitability.

It has become clear that the former Heidenheim man has a release clause set at £25million in his current contract at St Mary’s, according to RTI Esporte.

The Saints are “working” to try to tie the wideman down to a new contract, but that will surely be a futile effort, as £25m is a fairly insignificant fee for Premier League clubs.

News of that clause has left Everton with an open goal, as it would certainly be an affordable deal, but that has also likely put the writing on the wall for Dibling.

His switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium hasn’t gone to plan at all, as he has made just four Premier League starts all season.

He has already found himself firmly on the fringes of David Moyes’ plans, and the arrival of another option in the wide areas would force him even further down the playing order.

Everton will have every hope that he goes on to fulfil his £42m price tag, but if they landed Scienza, then they could be tempted to cash in on Dibling or even loan him out.

Throw in the fact that the youngster will also be desperate to play regular football to ensure that his development doesn’t continue to stall, and a deal for Scienza could spell the end for him.

Tyler Dibling to already has Everton exit intention

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider back in February that Dibling is already looking for a way out of Everton, amid frustration towards Moyes’ management.

The Scottish boss has made it clear that he needs to see more from the 19-year-old before he can begin giving him regular opportunities to impress, but it appears that little has changed in that regard in recent months.

Brown outlined that Moyes has already decided that Dibling will not become a key player under his guidance, and with the team performing well on the pitch, the boss’ position is undoubtedly secure.

Instead, he feels that Dibling will be keen to find any route he can to escape Everton this summer, knowing that his career has completely hit the buffers.
