It would be “genius” business from Everton if they can turn a profit on Moise Kean.
That is according to ex-Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Fabrizio Romano reported that Everton are eager to offload the striker.
It is claimed that the Toffees will start negotiations at around the £43million mark.
The 21-year-old signed from Juventus for £25.1million in August 2018 but has failed to make his mark at Goodison Park.
His 37 appearances for Everton have yielded just four goals and he was loaned to Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the current campaign.
Kenny insists that it would be “unbelievable” if the club could recoup their original fee or even make a profit on the striker.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “That would be genius business from Everton’s perspective, 100 per cent.
“For someone who has done nothing for them, to even get your money back would be good. To make a profit on someone like that is unheard of.
“For them to get £40m-plus would be unbelievable. They could then go and use that cash on someone who can have more of an effect on the team.”
Kean’s fortunes have improved drastically in Paris and he has netted 18 times in 38 appearances during his loan spell.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti recently told the media that he is “open” to selling the eight-time Italy international.
