Everton like a team 'possessed' after 'massive' Michael Keane reveal - pundit

The Everton squad are “possessed” by the Goodison Park crowd and will “batter” the opposition in their final home games, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker backed Everton to stay up if they can replicate the atmosphere during the 1-0 win over Chelsea last weekend (1 May).

The Toffees are unbeaten in their last four home games but have not picked up a point away from home under Frank Lampard.

Defender Michael Keane told Sky Sports today (5 May) that the passion from the fans has given him and his teammates a “massive lift”.

“I look at Everton and they wanted it more than Chelsea,” Agbonlahor told Football insider Correspondent Connor Whitley.

“I’ve been in relegation battles where you have that atmosphere at the stadium and as a player you become possessed. You’re running more, you’re not out of breath and there’s more in the tank because the crowd are lifting you.

“If Everton can get that atmosphere again in their home games, they can beat anyone and you feel like that as a player with that atmosphere behind you. You feel you can beat anyone.

“I think Everton will be fine. They will batter both teams they play at home and stay up.

“It’s out of Burnley and Leeds and I fancy Leeds to go down. Burnley were 1-0 down at Watford, didn’t give up, equalised and then won the game.

“It’s going to be very, very interesting these next four games.”

In other news, the door has opened for Everton to sign a 26-year-old after a big development.
