Everton have had a tough time in the transfer market over the last 12 months but Steve Walsh can really make an improvement to the squad if he goes out and signs Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bissaka, 20, has come out of absolutely nowhere in the past couple of weeks and put in excellent performances against Tottenham and Manchester United after Roy Hodgson was forced into calling him up to the Eagles’ senior squad in the wake of an injury crisis.
Last week, the right-back stood strong against the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane as Palace fell to a late 1-0 defeat to Spurs and on Monday night he was in even more impressive form against Man United.
The London-born full-back had Alexis Sanchez in his back pocket all night and the Chile international is probably still there ratting around after being completely nullified by Selhurst Park’s latest sensation.
Everton should definitely make a move for him in the summer as there will no doubt be a queue of top clubs eager to get his signature if he continues this sort of form against some of the Premier League’s top sides and best attackers.
Seamus Coleman may not be like the player he once was when he returns from his broken leg and Cuco Martina has shown that he is nowhere near good enough.
Sam Allardyce – if he remains in charge – will no doubt want a new right-back in the summer, so a young, up-and-coming English defender like Wan-Bissaka will be the perfect summer signing.
