Everton news: It's clear referees and FA are biased after Frank Lampard development - expert
Danny Mills has hit out at the FA after they charged Frank Lampard for comments he made after Liverpool beat Everton 2-0 at Anfield last month (24 April).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England full-back claimed Lampard was only speaking the “truth” that every football fan knows.
As quoted by the Athletic, the 43-year-old insisted his side should have had a penalty for a Joel Matip challenge on Anthony Gordon.
He claimed you “don’t get them here (Anfield)” and there were “questionable” things going on with VAR.
The FA released a statement on Wednesday (4 May) confirming that the Everton boss has been charged for his comments.
“I don’t think that’s fair, no,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“It’s only what everyone knows and thinks, we’ve seen it time and time again.
“The referees will go ‘We’re completely impartial’. In a perfect world, they would be but they are not, they are human.
“How many times have we seen referees be inconsistent or give a decision that makes up for one that they got wrong early on? They say they don’t do that but it’s absolute rubbish. It’s human nature.
“If it’s a 50-50 decision and the crowd are baying and saying no then you say no. If you think it’s 60-40 one way and the crowd don’t react then you go the other way.
“We’ve always known that home fans, big crowds get certain decisions.
“We all know that and Frank has only said what has been said for the last 100 years and what anybody who watches football and knows football knows as the truth.”
