Everton's third most expensive signing shut out in pre-season – report

By Alex Taylor

Everton misfit Oumar Niasse looks like he’s on his way out of the club after being left out of the Toffees pre-season friendly squad, according to a report.

Sky Sports claim that Niasse could now be set to move away from the club he joined in Feburary.

The 26-year-old star joined the Merseyside outfit six months ago from Lokomotiv Moscow in a £13.5million deal – the third biggest in Everton’s history – but it now seems his career under Ronald Koeman could be over before it has begun.

The forward has not featured against either Barnsley or MK Dons over the last week but is not currently listed as injured by the club.

Unless there is a major u-turn with the Senegalese international, Niasse will not feature against Dynamo Dresden on Friday or Real Betis on Saturday.

It is believed that Turkish giants Fenerbache could be keen on a move as they look to replace the departing Robin van Persie this summer.

The Blue’s are going through wholesale changes this summer after appointing Koeman as their new manager, seeing Farhad Moshiri become the club’s majority shareholder and making Steve Walsh their new director of football.

In other Everton transfer news, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he is interested in signing defender John Stones.
