Everton will send young defender Jonjoe Kenny out on loan this summer, according to a report.

The Sun claim that the Liverpool-born right-back will not be in Ronald Koeman’s first-team plans for next season and the club are keen for him to get valuable experience at Championship level.

The Dutch manager currently has Seamus Coleman and Tyias Browning vying for the right-back position and it is thought that the 19-year-old will find first team opportunities hard to come by next season.

Kenny joined Everton’s academy at the age of nine.

His versatility and composure on the ball has seen him deployed at right-back, centre-back and in central midfield in progressing from the club’s Under-18s to the Under-21s.

Kenny had his first taste of senior competitive football last season after moving on loan to League One side Wigan before later joining League Two side Oxford on loan.

The young defender played in 28 competitive fixtures last season and even made his Premier League debut for Everton, coming on as a substitute for Matthew Pennington against Norwich in May.

The young star is highly rated at the Toffees and starred in England’s Under-17 European Championships victory in 2014 where the bright starlet featured in the team of the tournament.

In other Everton transfer news, Toffees target Daniele Rugani has been made available by Juventus as the Italian club looks to raise funds.
