Alan Hutton has claimed Daniel Podence would be a "really good" signing for Everton.

But, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted Wolves will not want to sell the 27-year-old.

The winger is on the radar of Frank Lampard's side amid growing signs this could be his last season at the Molineux.

The Portugal international's current deal runs until 2024.

Hutton suggested Podence would fit into Lampard's side but it could be difficult to convince Wolves to let him go.

"I think he is a really good player," he told Football Insider.

"I think he could fit into the Everton way of playing and I think it would be a really good signing. He gives you something going forward, just an all over technical, good player.

"Do Wolves want to lose that type of player? I would not have thought so. They are down there, they are struggling, they need all the players that they can get.

"They probably would not want to sell to a rival. I think for Everton it would be a good move, for Wolves not so good."

Podence has made 14 appearances for Wolves across all competitions this season.

In those outings he has scored two goals.
