Everton 'plan for Iliman Ndiaye' to join Premier League club after Al Hilal collapse

Everton are putting plans in place behind the scenes in case Iliman Ndiaye leaves despite his proposed move to Al Hilal collapsing.

The 26-year-old turned down a move to the Saudi Pro League as he prefers to remain in England, but his hopes of playing in the Champions League have inspired new interest.

He remains a crucial part of David Moyes' plans at Everton, as evidenced with an impressive during their 1-1 draw against Lille, but it may be hard to keep hold of him.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Everton are preparing for Ndiaye to leave and have not ruled out his exit late in the summer window.

Despite a move to Al Hilal having fallen through, there is still a high level of interest in the Senegal international, and Everton could soon have their resolve tested.

The likes of Man United, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been long-term admirers of Ndiaye, and could now move to lure him away from Everton.

What is Everton's stance on selling Iliman Ndiaye?

Football Insider revealed on 2 August that Everton are open to selling Ndiaye this summer, but only if a club is willing to meet their asking price of £75million.

The attacker is believed to be interested in completing a move away to progress his career, and while he is unlikely to push for a move, that could alter his club's stance.

After the Al Hilal move fell through, other clubs could be tempted to make moves, and Everton are preparing behind the scenes for that eventuality.

"Everton have got plans in place in case Ndiaye does leave," Brown told Football Insider.

"They obviously don't want to see him go, but they have to be ready in case he does, because there is a lot of interest and speculation surrounding his future at the moment.

"It looks like the move to Saudi Arabia isn't going to happen, he wants to play in the Premier League, but that's only going to spark interest from elsewhere.

"We've spoken before about different Premier League clubs who might be interested, he's definitely got a lot of admirers.

"So from Everton's point of view, they'll be aware of the interest and ready for any offers that might arrive to test their resolve. If those offers are good enough, he could leave.

"But they have to put plans in place for if he does move on, because they will need to replace him and they don't have a lot of time."

Which clubs are interested in signing Ndiaye?

Interest from Ndiaye has been strong as a result of his impressive displays last season, when he established himself as a crucial part of the squad under Moyes.

The Senegal international is still a crucial part of Everton's plans for the upcoming season, and the club are extremely reluctant to let him go.

However, Brown told Football Insider that Man United have been keeping a close eye on Ndiaye's situation, and could capitalise on his situation with a formal offer.

While no formal steps have been taken towards a deal as things stand, the club would be in a good position to do a deal as Michael Carrick aims to strengthen out wide.

Ndiaye has been a long-term target for Man United, and they could be tempted to explore a deal after his move to the Saudi Pro League fell through.
