Everton plan to 'accelerate' Jack Grealish deal after Iliman Ndiaye offer accepted

Everton are planning to accelerate talks over a deal to sign Jack Grealish as they brace to receive a "huge" Iliman Ndiaye offer.

Ndiaye looks likely to complete a move away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, after Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal made contact over a deal.

His potential departure will force David Moyes' side into the transfer market, with a move for the Man City midfielder likely to ease the blow of Ndiaye's exit.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that securing Grealish's talents could make up for the loss of one of Everton's best players.

The Man City star spent last season on loan at Everton, but an untimely injury saw him miss the second half of the season, and allowed Ndiaye to shine.

With the Cameroon international now likely on his way out, completing the signing of Grealish has risen further up the list of priorities for Moyes and his side.

Could Everton get a deal done for Jack Grealish?

Football Insider revealed on 10 July that Everton remain keen to sign Grealish and are preparing to launch a new bid to temp Man City into selling.

While the midfielder's initial price tag was well beyond what Everton are willing to pay, there is a growing feeling that a deal could be agreed at a lower price.

Meanwhile, if they receieve a "huge" fee for Ndiaye, that money will likely be reinvested into the squad, with Grealish at the top of their list of transfer targets.

"It's obviously going to be a substancial blow to Everton if Ndiaye leaves," Brown told Football Insider.

"But I expect accepting an offer for him will force them to make a move for Jack Grealish, because they will have to find a replacement.

"If they can get a huge fee for Ndiaye, that money will go back into the squad, and Grealish is the first name on the list of players they want to bring in.

"Grealish can play a similar role to Ndiaye, they have very similar qualities, so it would make a lot of sense for them to make that happen.

"Obviously, they would prefer to have them playing together again like at the start of last season, but things aren't always that simple in football and you have to adapt.

"If they can get a huge fee for Ndiaye from the Saudi club, then that will allow them to spend big, and it will give them the money they need to get the Grealish deal done."

Will Iliman Ndiaye be allowed to leave Everton?

Speculation surrounding Ndiaye's future has been rife since Al Hilal made contact with the player and his representatives to explore the possbility of a move.

Everton are reluctant to see their talisman move on this summer, but there is a growing feeling his head may have been turned and it will be tough to keep him.

This comes after Brown warned Football Insider on 27 July that Ndiaye is keen to complete a move to Al Hilal and is interested in leaving Everton this summer.

The 26-year-old is being offered a "huge" wage by the Saudi Pro League outfit, and is now keen to be allowed to discuss formal terms over a move away from Everton.

Any deal for the Senegal international will first have to be agreed by the Toffees, who are extremely reluctant to lose an important player, but could be pushed to let him go.
