Everton remain keen on signing Jack Grealish this summer as he focuses on recovering from his serious foot injury, sources have told Football Insider.

Grealish impressed on loan at Everton from Man City in the first half of last season before suffering a season-ending injury.

He built a strong connection with the Toffees' fans and manager David Moyes, and has been mooted to return to the club before next term.

Grealish's current focus is on making a full recovery from his foot problem, which he recently insisted is going "extremely well."

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Everton are waiting for him to become fully fit before launching a bid to sign him again this summer.

He is set to leave Man City regardless of Everton's efforts to land him, with new boss Enzo Maresca unlikely to hand him a second chance at the Etihad Stadium.

Everton still want Jack Grealish as injury recovery continues

Grealish registered eight goal contributions in 22 games for Everton as he picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award for last August.

He is yet to comment publicly about his future, but sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Grealish is keen to stay at Everton after staying at Finch Farm to continue his recovery.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "The latest is that Jack Grealish is obviously working his way back to fitness after that injury in the middle of last season.

"There's still a willingness from Everton to try and bring him back to the club, and I believe Grealish is open to that as well."

Everton plan to accept new Dwight McNeil offer - 'He told David Moyes he wants to leave'

Everton will let Dwight McNeil leave after his summer demand

McNeil struggled for game time behind Grealish last season, and was forced to play out of position on the right flank for most of the campaign.

The 26-year-old registered just one assist and failed to score in 25 appearances across all competitions, and has bagged just 15 times in 130 games for the club since 2022.

With Grealish on their radar again, sources have revealed to Football Insider that McNeil will be allowed to leave Everton this summer.

He has asked Moyes to be sold in search of increased minutes elsewhere, with West Ham and Crystal Palace both linked.
