Everton tipped to agree '£35m' Jack Grealish deal by David Moyes ally

Manchester City will accept a reduced fee for wantaway winger Jack Grealish when Everton come calling this summer.

That is the opinion of former senior Everton scout Bryan King, who exclusively spoke to Football Insider.

The 30-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, and is keen to return to Merseyside after spending the season on loan.

Sources say David Moyes is not convinced by sanctioning a huge fee for Grealish and any deal would need to be a cut-price one for there to be a full agreement on a permanent return to the club.

Grealish scored twice and assisted six times in 20 Premier League appearances for Everton before a significant injury to his foot ended his season in January.

The loan deal had included an option to buy worth £50million, but the Toffees will be confident that a less expensive resolution can be agreed.

Despite his injury, Grealish has continued to train and recover at Everton, with his hopes for this summer seemingly clear.

Bryan King gives Jack Grealish verdict

After just three Premier League appearances for Everton, Grealish already had four assists.

The 30-year-old appeared to be back to his very best and thriving in David Moyes' team.

His form slowed throughout the campaign and injury ultimately saw it ended far too early, but Everton looked a team transformed from last season with such a creative influence driving them forward.

Grealish may have even fired them to European football had he stayed fit, with Moyes' side winning just four of their 18 league games without him.

"The moment Jack Grealish became injured, Everton's results seemed to drop away because he was a great motivation for the team and for the club," King, who is an ally of Moyes, told Football Insider.

"Now, if I'm Everton, I want to get that deal done and dusted if it's going to happen." He added: "I think Grealish, certainly, there'll be a cut price for Grealish, somewhere between £35m and £40m, I would have thought."

What has David Moyes said about Grealish's future?

Despite the overwhelming feeling that Grealish and Everton are meant to be reunited this summer, there are factors that need to be kept in mind.

Even should Man City accept a cut-price deal, the winger still arrives with significant wages that will affect the Toffees' ability to sign elsewhere.

"We’ve got a few plans in place. Finances will obviously play a big part in it so we will need to navigate round the best we can," Moyes said last month.

"Obviously we like Jack a lot. We’ve looked after Jack all the time since his injury. It’s looking in good order now, the surgeon speaks very well about it and thinks it’s healing greatly.

"Normally a player would go back to his parent club and be looked after from there, but we will continue doing our best for Jack.

"He is incredibly well liked inside and outside the building but ultimately he is not our player, he is Man City’s player. We’ve had him on loan for a year and I have to say we’ve enjoyed having him."
