Ex-Everton scout reveals they're only 'one' way Moyes' team can beat Arsenal
That is according to former senior Everton scout, Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
The Toffees will visit North London off the back of their first blip of the season, having drawn with Hull City and lost to Chelsea since returning from the international break.
Arsenal travelled to Bayern Munich in midweek and were held to an end-to-end 2-2 draw, which Everton will hope has taken plenty out of the team.
The champions have struggled against deep defences this season, securing their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last week with their only shot on target in the game.
Yet they remain a formidable force at the Emirates Stadium, winning all four of their fixtures hosted there this season so far.
Everton will be looking for 'that one chance'
Everton came close to earning something at the Emirates Stadium when they went there in March.
The Toffees had great chances to take the lead and were solid in defence until the final minutes, when Viktor Gyokeres and Max Dowman finally unlocked the pick and secured a crucial three points in the title race.
Saturday's clash will be less pressurised, and Everton will likely arrive with a similar plan of action.
"When you going to a club like Arsenal, who have got a squad of really good players, you're going to try and keep a clean sheet," King told Football Insider.
"You can have so many chances and everybody's saying, 'we're going to score, we're going to score.' But listen, if you keep missing your chances, you're always vulnerable to the one break or the one chance or two chances that the opposition get.
"I think this would be the situation with Everton on Saturday. They're going to be under a lot of pressure and then they've got to be looking for that one chance, be it a free kick or a corner or a counter-attack.
"But the essence of it is keeping a clean sheet. If they can do that, they'll certainly nick a point. They might even nick a win. That's going to be the criteria, keep a clean sheet. I think that'd be difficult for them. They haven't got a good record at Arsenal."
Everton's dismal record at Arsenal
The last Everton win at the Emirates Stadium came in 2021, when Bernd Leno's own-goal split the sides.
It remains their only win at the Emirates Stadium, and their only win away at the Gunners since 1996.
Recent years have seen Everton provide a challenge in North London, earning a draw in 2025 and often restricting their opponents to narrow victories.
But David Moyes will hope to make a statement on Saturday and ask his team to shock the Premier League.
