Harry Kane 'whispering in Jordan Pickford's ear' as Everton exit suddenly becomes possible

Harry Kane is playing a key role in luring Jordan Pickford away from Everton amid growing interest from Bayern Munich.

The duo, 33 and 32 respectively, are currently on international duty with England where it is said they have built up a strong relationship after almost a decade with the Three Lions.

Vincent Kompany's side have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Everton shot-stopper as they eye a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer, and could soon make a move.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Kane may be having words with Pickford about the possibility of linking up at Bayern Munich.

The former Tottenham striker has been loving life in Bavaria since his move in 2023, where he has already broken countless records alongside adding five trophies to his cabinet.

Pickford is believed to be open to a move to Bayern Munich should they make an offer which Everton deem acceptable, and Kane's influence could strengthen his decision.

Could Jordan Pickford leave Everton for Bayern Munich?

Brown told Football Insider on 28 September that Pickford could be tempted to leave Everton if he receives a formal offer from Bayern Munich in the near future.

The 32-year-old has been a mainstay at the Hill Dickinson Stadium since his move from Sunderland in 2017, having missed just 11 Premier League games in that period.

He is believed to be happy under David Moyes and remains a crucial part of the side, but alongside Kane's attempts to convince him, he could be lured to Bayern Munich.

"If Bayern Munich want to sign Jordan Pickford, you can bet Harry Kane will be whispering in his ear," Brown told Football Insider.

"It's inevitable, it's something I've seen happen countless times, and it's something we've discussed with players previously being tempted into leaving their clubs.

"While they're away on international duty, it's bound to have come up in discussions, and he can talk up the move, the club, the oppotunity, how much he's enjoyed it.

"How long have Kane and Pickford been international teammates? They've obviously built up a good relationship, and that could play a key role in convincing him of the move."

Despite Kane playing a key role in attempting to lure Pickford to the Allianz Arena, questions are still being asked about his future at the club amid growing uncertainty.

The England striker's contract at Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of the season, and there has been high-profile interest from the likes of Barcelona and Saudi Pro League clubs.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 22 September that Man United are keeping a close eye on Kane's contract situation and could pounce if he does not pen a new deal.

However, talks over an extension are ongoing between the two parties as the German champions look to tie him down for another three years.

Bayern have maintained whenever questioned that they believe Kane will renew his contract, he is happy in Bavaria, and they are confident of reaching an agreement.
