Iliman Ndiaye could 'push' to leave Everton, his agent is already in talks

Iliman Ndiaye could push to leave Everton if a top Premier League club make a move to sign him in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old has turned down a number of new contract offers at Everton and is clear to explore his options amid growing interest in his signature.

Arsenal and Man City are among a number of clubs believed to be keeping tabs on his situation, and his availability could place them on high alert this summmer.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Ndiaye's agent has likely held talks with clubs about the Everton star's potential availability.

The forward is set to represent Senegal at the World Cup where he will be able to showcase his talents and inspire further interest in front of watching scouts.

However, his departure is far from inevitable as Everton are reluctant to see him leave and he is still under contract until 2029, placing them in a strong position.

Could Iliman Ndiaye push to leave Everton this summer?

Football Insider reported on 7 June that Everton will rebuff any offers for Ndiaye and have proven to be tough negotiators when it comes to letting key players go.

However, having rejected the chance to extend his stay at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, there is a feeling the Senegal star could force his way out.

Similar sagas took place last summer with the likes of Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa, and Ndiaye could become the latest to seal a dramatic exit.

"It now looks like Ndiaye wants to leave Everton," Brown told Football Insider.

"The reason this story is out there in the first place is because of his agent, he will be playing a key role in any move, and I'm sure he has already begun speaking to clubs.

"He will be making them aware that his client is available, and given the interest we've spoken about previously, I'm sure clubs will be on alert.

"David Moyes brought him to the club to add a bit of flair and unpredictability to his side at a time when there were doubts about him after his move to France.

"Moyesey and Everton took a chance on him, but now that he's showed his abilities and clubs have taken notice, he already looks ready to leave.

"Everton obviously don't want to lose him, he's been such a big part of the success they've had, but he could push for a move and if that happens it makes things very difficult.

"It's not a situation Everton will want to be in and, to be fair, I doubt the player will want to be in that position either, but if he wants a move we've seen it can happen.

"We've spoken before about the likes of Arsenal and Man City, so if a club like that comes in for him, I'm sure it's something he will be very keen to pursue."

Which clubs are interested in signing Ndiaye?

Ndiaye's interest in a move away from Everton has grown as a result of the high-profile interest from clubs higher up in the Premier League and Champions League.

After Everton missed out on qualifying for a European competiton late in the season, he could now be tempted to move and join a club playing at the top level.

Brown told Football Insider last month that Man City have been impressed by Ndiaye's performances, not least against them in their dramatic 3-3 draw.

Tottenham and Man United are also among those who have been keeping an eye on his situation, and could now be placed on alert if he pushes to move on.

With his agent now believed to be making contact with potential suitors, it may be only a matter of time until a formal bid is made for his signature.
