Everton winger Tyler Dibling is set to be handed the boost of more Premier League minutes in the coming months, sources have told Football Insider.

The starlet has impressed in a series of cameo roles in recent weeks, and that is set to earn him the chance to prove himself again after the international break.

The 20-year-old made a slow start on Merseyside after his move from Southampton last year, but it is understood that the Toffees always expected him to need a prolonged period to settle into his surroundings.

Sources say that Dibling's improved confidence has completely changed David Moyes' opinion, and the boss is now far more trusting of him to perform.

The starlet received his first Premier League minutes of the season in last weekend's win over Ipswich, after an influential display in the Carabao Cup.

Dibling notched his first assist for Everton in that cup win over Wolves, and the hope at the club is that it can provide the springboard for him to truly start to prove himself.

Dibling was a big acquisition for Everton when they splashed out to sign him for £42million ahead of last season, but it didn't go to plan for him last term.

The ex-Southampton starlet looked a shadow of the young player who dazzled in the Premier League as part of a relegated Saints side, and seemed devoid of confidence at times.

However, the story couldn't be more different so far this campaign, as Dibling has catapulted himself back into Moyes' thinking in recent weeks.

There is now a genuine hope that he can begin to challenge for a starting spot at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and start to climb Moyes' pecking order.

He only managed four starts and 350 Premier League minutes across the entirety of last season, but Moyes is prepared to boost his involvement again if he continues to progress.

Former West Ham scout Mick Brown, who worked closely with Moyes during his time in East London, told Football Insider earlier in September that Everton were planning to accept a loan offer for Dibling in January.

The club had been planning to ship the youngster out to get more first-team football, in the hope of kickstarting his development once again.

However, Dibling's recent improvement may prove enough for him to avoid that fate, provided that it continues in the lead-up to January.

Moyes is prepared to give him a bigger involvement in the first-team squad, but it is now up to the player to prove that he deserves it.
