Everton are still keen to add Arsenal right-back Ben White to their squad and are ready to try and move for him this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old's future is likely to hinge on his desire to play regular first-team football next season, and it is understood that he would have an array of potential suitors if he did decide to leave the Emirates Stadium.

David Moyes' side showed a strong interest in the former Brighton man during the January transfer window, and sources say that he is among several names that they are considering as they look to add to their backline this summer.

Everton's transfer plans are already in place ahead of next season, and a deal to bring in a new right-back is seen as a "top priority," with White one of the main candidates on their list.

Everton set to benefit from Arsenal depth

White has become a victim of the unprecedented depth that Mikel Arteta has available within the Arsenal squad, as his gametime has become increasingly limited this season.

The defender has started just five Premier League games so far in 2025-26, and hasn't even played a minute of league football since the defeat to Manchester United on 25 January.

He has been unable to dislodge Jurrien Timber as the Gunners' starting right-back, and Arteta even opted to send on youngster Cristhian Mosquera instead of White when the Dutchman picked up an injury against Everton last time out.

It now appears that the ball is in White's court regarding his future, as there are plenty of clubs who would be willing to offer him a way out of North London if that is what he desires.

He is now in the prime years of his career and has shown little sign of being able to break into Arsenal's established back four.

Moyes would provide him significantly more football if he were to move to Everton, but it is unclear at the moment where the player sees his future for the next few years.

How much would the Toffees need to pay for Ben White?

Football Insider revealed back in January that Arsenal could sell White for a fee in the region of £20-25million this summer, with a deal seen as being more likely to be sanctioned at the end of the season.

Arteta and Co. didn't want to weaken their group in the middle of the campaign, so the defender ultimately wasn't allowed to leave, despite him being firmly on the fringes of the squad.

White has two years remaining on his contract with the Gunners when the summer comes around, and that is set to make him available for a cut-price fee as a result.

Everton have kept tabs on him since their interest this winter, and they are ready to pounce on a deal if their counterparts open the door for a potential exit ahead of next season.
