Keith Wyness reveals likely Everton transfer fee from Jordan Pickford deal
Everton would only be about to get around £35million from a sale of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
That is according to former Toffees chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes that would be the maximum fee for a gloveman of his age.
This comes amid the news that the 32-year-old has been identified by Bayern Munich as a potential long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Wyness made it clear that veteran goalkeepers do not carry much value in today's transfer market, and suggested that £35m would be the absolute maximum that Everton could demand.
Pickford remains under contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium until the summer of 2029, but it remains to be seen how he will handle the interest from the German champions.
His England teammate Harry Kane has enjoyed major success with the Bavarian outfit, and Pickford has yet to lift a major trophy in his senior career.

Everton’s former chief Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – does not believe that Pickford will be keen to leave the Toffees just yet.
The former Sunderland man has now made over 350 appearances for the club in all competitions, and already has three clean sheets in the Premier League this season.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, Wyness made it clear that Everton would have little money to gain from selling Pickford.
"He's under contract until 2029, so there's no rush on this one at all. Pickford's certainly spent a long time with Everton now," he said.
"When I looked at the valuation of 'keepers that have gone at the 32, 33, 34 years old sort of age, there's not much money that has changed hands for those sort of 'keepers.
"They tend to be more at the younger level, even though 'keepers, as we know, tend to perform better in their mid-30s as they go forward.
"If he were to go, the valuation for a 'keeper at that sort of age, with him losing his England place to (James) Trafford as well, we'd be looking at about £35m tops, I think, for that sort of situation."
Harry Kane pushing Pickford to leave Everton
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider earlier this week that it is "inevitable" that Kane will be pushing Pickford to join him at Bayern.
The pair have become close friends during their time together with England, and are currently away together at the Three Lions' camp again.
Brown made it clear that Kane will be "whispering" in Pickford's ear at the moment, and telling him about all the positives behind a move to Germany.
However, it will ultimately be down to Pickford to decide whether this could be the right time for him to leave Everton.
