Everton are being forced to sell Iliman Ndiaye to Tottenham Hotspur this summer because they have been unable to offload four of their fringe players, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs are now in advanced talks to seal a £60million deal for the 26-year-old winger by Tuesday night.

Events over the weekend have exposed The Friedkin Group’s (TFG) desire to first sell players to raise funds to replenish David Moyes’s squad.

Everton have been willing to sell Beto, Tim Iroegbunam, Carlos Alcaraz and Nathan Patterson, but their failure to do so has created pressure to sell one of their better players, which has now resulted in Ndiaye’s expected departure from the club.

The winger had been one of the Toffees’ most important players in the last campaign, and he netted six times and picked up three assists in the Premier League.

However, his two-year stay at the Merseyside club is now set to come to an end, as Spurs’ spending spree continues.

How big of a loss will Iliman Ndiaye’s departure be to Everton?

Ndiaye is no doubt going to be a huge loss for Everton.

The winger has already had a stellar start to the 2026-27 campaign and picked up an assist against Crystal Palace in their 2-0 victory.

His importance to Everton was already on show last season when the winger picked up nine goal contributions in 32 Premier League matches, which helped the club join the race for European qualification.

According to Fotmob on 31 August, per 90 minutes he was averaging, 0.19 goals, a 0.22 xG, 1.39 shots, 0.71 shots on target, 0.10 assists, a 0.14 xA, 2.36 successful dribbles with a 54.5 overall success rate and 2.26 tackles in the top-flight.

Therefore, the Toffees may have their work cut out for them if they are to find a suitable replacement before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday.
