Sources: Everton make preliminary move for Jarrod Bowen
Everton have made a preliminary move for West Ham United’s star man Jarrod Bowen, sources have told Football Insider.
The Toffees have made contact with the Hammers for their 29-year-old winger over a potential summer transfer.
West Ham’s captain wants to stay in the Premier League and is expected to leave the London Stadium before the deadline.
Bowen wants to assess offers from different clubs before making a decision on his future, which could affect Everton’s approach.
Football Insider exclusively revealed Everton’s interest in Bowen in late May and are now aiming to progress a deal.
The England international managed to pick up 20 goal contributions in the Premier League last season despite West Ham’s relegation to the Championship.
Can Jarrod Bowen finally solve Everton’s attacking woes?
One of the biggest issues at Everton last season was their lack of a consistent attacking threat.
Not a single player hit double-figure goals in the Premier League in the 2025-26 campaign for the Toffees, with Beto getting the most at nine.
However, Bowen could go a long way to solving this issue, with the winger not only capable of scoring goals but also providing them.
In the Premier League last season, the 29-year-old netted nine times and picked up 11 assists, and if this output was added to the Toffees’ squad, it could go a long way to solving David Moyes’ issue.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Everton are able to get a deal over the line in the coming months.
Who else are Everton looking to sign?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Everton have registered interest in Harry Wilson this summer transfer window.
The Fulham winger is out of contract this summer after a stunning 2025-26 Premier League campaign.
While the Cottagers are keen to keep hold of the Welsh international, and talks have opened over a potential deal, numerous clubs are looking to seal his signature in the coming months.
Sources have suggested that Leeds United have offered a long-term contract to Wilson, while Aston Villa have also registered interest.
The winger netted 11 goals and picked up eight assists last season in all competitions as Fulham narrowly missed out on European qualification.
