Sources: Everton told how much it will cost to get Daniel Munoz deal done

Crystal Palace are set to demand up to £25million for Everton target Daniel Munoz this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Toffees are working on multiple right-back deal after Seamus Coleman’s departure and the 30-year-old “ticks a lot boxes” for David Moyes’ side.

His Premier League experience combined with his excellent World Cup with Colombia is something that Everton are no doubt attracted to.

On top of this, the defender has been a key part in Palace winning three major honours over the last two seasons, including their Conference League victory at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Munoz is currently contracted until 2028 at Selhurst Park and could now be a surprise exit from the club before the transfer window closes.

Palace and Everton have already done business this summer, with Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson being part of a swap deal earlier this month.

Is Daniel Munoz the saviour to Everton’s right-back issues?

Munoz has no doubt become one of the best right-backs in the Premier League in recent years.

Since the defender joined Palace in 2024, he has become a key player at the club and has made 108 appearances to date.

Both his attacking and defensive stats are also excellent, which is no doubt something that Moyes is aware of.

According to Fotmob on 14 August, the right-back averaged 0.15 goals, a 0.09 xG, 1.01 shots, 0.11 assists, a 0.15 xA, 1.01 chances created, 0.30 big chances created, 2.77 tackles, 0.97 interceptions, 3.63 clearances and 0.37 clean sheets per 90 minutes last season in the Premier League.

Therefore, if he can repeat these stats at Everton this season, it would go a long way toward solving their issues.

Who else are Everton looking to sign this summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Everton are still keeping tabs on Celtic’s Alistair Johnston this summer.

The Canada international has been heavily linked with the Toffees, and is seen as another potential signing to fill the right-back slot.

Everton were put off in their pursuit of the right-back due to the Bhoys’ asking price, with the Glasgow giants only entertaining a deal starting at £15m. 

However, Johnston’s desire to move to the Premier League has left the door open that a deal could still be reignited in the remaining weeks of the window.
