Ex-manager backs Hart to be 'game-changer' for Celtic on one condition
Alex McLeish has backed Joe Hart to be a “game-changer” for Celtic after signing from Tottenham.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 34-year-old would be a “great asset” for Ange Postecoglou – if he can prove his agility between the sticks.
Celtic confirmed on Tuesday (August 3rd) they had secured the signing of Hart from Spurs.
The shot-stopper has penned a three-year contract at Parkhead.
Celtic already had Scott Bain and Vasilis Barkas to call upon between the sticks.
McLeish signed Hart on loan for Birmingham City during his time at St Andrew’s.

He suggested the shot-stopper could make a big difference for Postecoglou’s men.
McLeish told Football Insider deputy editor Russell Edge: “I’m a big fan of Joe’s. He’s a difficult last few years.
“The last three or four seasons it’s not been easy for him to nail a position or to show his prowess in the goals.
“It’s the same with anybody. He’s an older goalkeeper and we’ve lauded the older goalkeepers in this chat many, many times.
“As long as Joe is still sprightly, he has the spring in his step and has good mobility, he’s a great asset.
“We spoke about people coming to Celtic last year and thinking it was a game-changer. Things didn’t quite work out because it was a different style of play for Shane Duffy.
“But Joe Hart is a goalkeeper who should command that box and should have the agility and mobility to be a great asset for Celtic.”
Hart played 10 times for Tottenham after signing for the north Londoners last summer.
He has a total of 340 Premier League and 75 England appearances under his belt.
