Sources: Major update on Brighton move to sign Celtic star Edouard next week
Brighton are in talks to sign Celtic star Odsonne Edouard and are working to strike a deal next week, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The Seagulls want to finalise the capture of the Hoops striker ahead of the new Premier League season starting on 14 August.
A Brighton source has told Football Insider that talks are underway between both clubs and Edouard’s representatives.
Celtic are likely to have to accept less than £20million for Edouard, who is out of contract next year.
The Hoops have made a series of new contract offers to the Frenchman but he has knocked them back.
Edouard has also held talks with the likes of Leicester City and West Ham but they have cooled their interest.

Brighton are in the market for a new centre-forward and have turned their attention to the Celtic star.
As revealed by Football Insider back in April, the Frenchman has made it clear to the Parkhead board he wants to leave this summer.
The Hoops had slapped a £40million price tag on Edouard’s head last year but that was slashed to around £25million in January.
He scored 22 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions last season as the Hoops failed to pick up any silverware.
The hitman has netted a total of 83 times and contributed 38 assists in 171 games for Celtic.
New manager Ange Postecoglou has started Edouard in all three of his games in charge so far.
However, Brighton are hopeful of securing a deal over the next 10 days.
The Seagulls kick off their Premier League campaign away at Burnley on August 14th.
