Ex-striker: Man United will launch huge Kane bid in 'next few days' after Sky Sports update
Frank McAvennie claims Manchester United will launch their own bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane after Manchester City submitted an offer this week.
The former West Ham striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the Red Devils can’t afford to let City sign Kane this summer.
Sky Sports revealed on 21st June that Man City had made an opening offer of £100million for the England captain.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 29th April that Kane, 27, told his friends he is “hell bent” on leaving Spurs this summer.
On 18th May, Sky Sports also reported Manchester United and Chelsea’s interest in Kane.
McAvennie claims City will reign over the Premier League for the next few years if they sign Kane and this is something Man United will look to stop.

“I think Man United will come in for him now,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I just have a feeling. He would be a great fit at Old Trafford. He would score a lot of goals.
“They will be worried about City getting him. I can see them trying to get Kane just so City can’t have him.
“Of course they want the player as well. But if City get Kane then it’s game over for next season and probably the one after that.
“I know he’s not done too well at the Euros but we all know how good he is.
“They (Manchester United) have to be quick now, maybe over the next few days they need to sort something.“
Kane has started all three of England’s games at Euro 2020 but has failed to find the net.
The Three Lions will face Germany in the last 16 of the competition next week.
