Sources: Kane tells friends he's 'hell bent' on quitting Tottenham and wants to join Premier League giants
Harry Kane is “hell bent” on quitting Tottenham and wants to join one of the Premier League giants this summer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
This site first broke the news on 9th April how the England captain has told friends he wants to quit Spurs this summer.
In a further update on his thinking, a Tottenham source told Football Insider that Kane is “hell bent” of engineering a summer move in light of the club’s League Cup final defeat to Man City.
That will extend the club’s trophy drought to 14 years and further demonstrated how far Spurs have slipped away from the top Premier League sides.
Kane has privately made it clear he wants to challenge for and win the major trophies in the second half of his glittering career.
Intriguingly, he is said by sources to be “desperate” to beat Alan Shearer’s Premier League scoring record and wants to stay in the Premier League rather than join an elite overseas club.

That means the twin hurdles of not only finding an escape route from Tottenham, but also overcoming chairman Daniel Levy’s unwillingness to sell his prize asset to a top Premier League side.
Kane is said to be unimpressed with the ambition shown by those at the top of Spurs and in the boardroom.
He fears the club are treading water at a critical time in his career and is “”100 per cent thinking of moving on”.
The Spurs idol will not come out and say that at this stage as he wants to keep the supporters on side.
Publicly, Kane, who turns 28 in July, has suggested he will decide his plans after the Euros.
He has three years remaining on his contract and only a small group of clubs in world football would be able to afford the £125million-plus valuation.
