Ex-striker excited as Liverpool move to sign 'explosive' Traore from Wolves
Noel Whelan has suggested Liverpool are in the market for a “game-changing” attacker after enquiring about Adama Traore at Wolves.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, raved over the “explosive” 25-year-old and insisted he had shown significant improvements in his end product over the past 12 months.
As revealed by Football Insider on Wednesday (July 7th), Liverpool have been in contact with Wolves to register their interest in Traore.
This site has since detailed (July 9th) how the Reds are willing to pay up to £25million for the Spain international.
However, it is understood Wolves value him closer to the £50million mark.
Eurosport has claimed (June 15th) Leeds are also interested in Traore this summer.

Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “A player we know has got ability and has been improved under Nuno Espirito Santo.
“He had all the ability, all the pace and all the strength. However, he didn’t give you that end product in an assist or a goal when he got into good positions.
“He’s now brushed up on that, he looks a lot more assured when it gets into those positions.
“We know the power that he brings, that strength. Also, that technical ability that he’s got with the ball at his feet. Leeds United have been looking at him as well, I think.
“One of these players you look at that can define a game, a game-changer.
“Very much like (Jeremy) Doku, 19-years-old that we saw for Belgium. I think he might have been linked to Liverpool as well.
“They’re obviously looking for that type of player. That explosive, quick, powerful player that can open doors.”
