Chinese club Beijing Renhe are planning a new bid for Rangers star Alfredo Morelos and are preparing to offer him a jawdropping contract to persuade him to join, Football Insider sources understand.
Beijing Renhe saw offers for Morelos rejected by Rangers before the close of the European transfer window with the Scottish giants refusing to sell their top scorer.
However, with the transfer window open in China until February 28 Beijing Renhe are ready to make an improved offer for Morelos as they look to convince Rangers to sell the 21-year-old.
A source close to Rangers has told Football Insider that Beijing Renhe are prepared to offer Morelos a bumper contract worth in the region of £38,000 a week after tax to try and lure him away from Glasgow and are ready to improve their last offer of £8million to Rangers.
Morelos has impressed at Rangers since joining the club from HJK Helsinki last summer with the forward currently top scorer at Ibrox with 15 goals in all competitions.
Morelos is among the the lowest earners in the Rangers side and although the club have indicated they could open talks over a new deal they would be unable to get near the figures on offer from Beijing Renhe.
Rangers are reluctant to lose Morelos as they look to end this season on a high, but Beijing Renhe are hoping their improved offer will persuade Rangers to cash-in on the South American.
