Exclusive: Bruce reacts as Celtic plan to sell speed machine who's caught his eye
Alex Bruce believes that Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli would be best off leaving Parkhead after falling down the pecking order under Neil Lennon.
The former Kilmarnock centre-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, admits that the 24-year-old is an eye-catching player but that he has not delivered in his first season in Glasgow.
As revealed exclusively by Football Insider, the Hoops are willing to cash in on the left-back just a year after signing him for £3million from Rapid Vienna.
This comes after Football Insider also revealed that Neil Lennon has made signing a new left-back his priority for the summer transfer window.
Bruce believes that Greg Taylor’s performances have limited Bolingoli’s chances at Celtic Park and believes a move away could be best for the defender.
Bruce told Football Insider: “He’s very, very quick and he’s very strong – I know that from playing against him.

“He does catch the eye, he’s big and athletic but obviously he’s got competition for places and everyone will want to play.
“If he’s fell down the pecking order like he has and you’ve got people like Greg Taylor who’s come in and done very well – new signing obviously, Scottish lad as well – if you’re not playing and you see you’re road’s blocked, obviously they’re going to have to move on.”
Bolingoli was Lennon’s first-choice left-back early on this season, starting the first 10 Premiership games.
However, he has struggled for game time since the 2-1 defeat to Rangers in December, his only appearance coming in the Scottish Cup win over Clyde.
