Arsenal are preparing to table a bid for £9million-valued Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai, Football Insider can reveal.
The Gunners are one of a number of top clubs around Europe preparing to make an offer for the highly-rated teenager.
An Arsenal source has told Football Insider the club have been long-term admirers of Szoboszlai, 18, and they are ready to test RB Salzburg’s resolve to hang on to him in the summer transfer window.
Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are two other clubs who are keen to make summer moves for the attacking midfielder, who is valued at £9million by his club.
Arsenal’s Premier League rivals and other leading European outfits are thought to be monitoring the in-demand player’s situation closely.
RB Salzburg ace Szoboszlai is regarded as one of the best teenagers in world football after impressing for club and country in the last 12 months.
However, RB Salzburg want to keep the talented Hungarian until the January window at least, given their qualification for the group stages of the 2019-20 Champions League next season.
Szoboszlai is so precocious he has already been capped four times by Hungary, even though he does not turn 19 until October, and is a regular starter for the Austrian club.
