Southampton will offer Olivier Ntcham a lucrative contract to lure him down south from Celtic this summer.

Football Insider revealed last week that the Premier League outfit have set their sights on the French midfielder as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Southampton are preparing to offer Ntcham, 23, a double-your-money contract.

The former Man City man is not in the top bracket of earners at Celtic, where the highest paid are on around £35,000-a-week.

Moving to St Mary’s Stadium would see him secure a huge pay rise, just like it did for Stuart Armstrong two years ago.

This site revealed Celtic have set a £12million asking price for Ntcham, who has two years left on his contract.

His potential transfer is also likely to be part of discussions about new moves for 2019-20 loanees Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Celtic are especially keen to lure Forster back for at least another season, although his £70,000-a-week Saints wages mean a loan is more likely.

Ntcham has been a key man in the Hoops’ domination of Scottish football since his £4.5million transfer from Man City in 2017.

The former France Under-21 international has started 17 of Celtic’s SPL matches in the just-terminated campaign among 38 appearances in all competitions.

Since signing for the Glasgow giants, he has made 123 appearances that have yielded 23 goals and 11 assists.

In the latest Celtic news, it can be REVEALED that an international is in line to swap Parkhead for big rivals as offer imminent.
