Exclusive: Darren Bent suggests senior Tottenham player conflicted over future due to Levy issue
Darren Bent suggested Tottenham defender Danny Rose was conflicted over his future at the club.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the former Spurs striker revealed he thought Rose wanted to stay at the club but also wanted to leave due to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
The Spurs left-back publicly questioned who was in control of Spurs before saying he didn’t need to have a conversation with manager Jose Mourinho about his future.
Bent shared that thought Rose probably would be keen on staying at the North London club due to Mourinho arriving before adding the issue was that the 29-year-old’s relationship with Levy had broken down.
“I think Danny Rose doesn’t know whether he is coming or go,” Bent told Football Insider.
“Potentially I do think he wants to stay there under Mourinho as he believes they’ll win things, or at least be closer.

“But at the same time, I’m not sure he wants to stay at Spurs as maybe the relationship between him and Levy has broken down so he wants out of there.
“So he’s kind of caught in a catch 22 because he wants to stay but he also wants to leave.
“But the question is where does he go after he leaves Spurs?”
Rose has featured frequently for Spurs this season with him making 14 appearances across all competitions.
The England full-back only has 18 months left on his current contract with it due to expire in July 2021.
In other Tottenham news, Danny Mills claimed Mourinho had the ‘Perfect’ player in his sights to sign in January.
