Exclusive: Everton plot stunning Swansea double bid

EXCLUSIVE By Pete O’Rourke

Everton are planning a double swoop on Swansea City by making a stunning joint-bid for Daniel James and Matt Grimes, Football Insider understands.

James and Grimes have impressed in the Championship for Swansea this season and scouts from Premier League clubs have been flocking to the Liberty Stadium to cast an eye over the duo.

Swansea would be reluctant to lose two of their prize assets this summer, but an Everton source has told Football Insider the club are ready to test their resolve with a double bid to steal a march on rivals for James’ and Grimes’ signatures.

Flying winger James was on the brink of a move to Leeds on transfer deadline day in January until the Welsh side pulled out of the deal in the last minute.

James’ impressive form since the January transfer window has brought many more clubs to the race for the attacker’s signature, including Everton.
