EXCLUSIVE
Everton have set their sights on Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck ahead of the summer window, Football Insider understands.
The England international, 28, is out of contract at the London club at the end of the season and is set to be one of the most on-demand free agents in the market.
A source close to the player has told Football Insider that Everton have identified Welbeck as as a quality target available at a bargain price.
The Manchester United academy product is on the comeback trail after being sidelined since November with an ankle injury and is on course to play again this season.
Everton will face intense competition for the services of Welbeck, who has 42 England caps and can play anywhere across the attack, either as the spearhead or down one of the flanks.
