Fulham, Brentford and Nottingham Forest have joined Crystal Palace in the hunt to sign Peterborough United forward Siriki Dembele, Football Insider understands.

This site revealed last week the Eagles had turned their attention to the dazzling Posh attacker after having a bid worth up to £12million rejected by QPR for Eberechi Eze.

An industry source has told Football Insider that newly-promoted Fulham will challenge their fellow London Premier League outfit Palace for Dembele.

There is also strong interest in the exciting forward from Championship promotion hopefuls Brentford and Forest.

Peterborough value their 2018 signing at around the £5million mark and that is expected to be enough to seal a deal.

The Bees lost out on a top-flight place only after suffering play-off final heartache while the east Midlands outfit finished seventh last season.

Dembele is regarded as one of the most exciting players in the Football League.

The Peterborough talent was a standout performer for the Posh during the second half of last season and built up a formidable partnership with striker Ivan Toney in attack.

A versatile winger who can operate on either flank, he showed outstanding form following the turn of the year as he supplied seven assists in eight games and also chipped in with four goals of his own.

Dembele joined the Championship outfit from Grimsby Town back in 2018 and has gone on to play a total of 77 times for the club, with 13 goals and 16 assists to his name.

In other Crystal Palace news, the Eagles have set their sights on signing a player set to quit Southampton.
