Exclusive: Huddersfield Town agree to sign Leeds midfielder after breakthrough
Huddersfield Town have reached an agreement with Leeds United over the signing of midfielder Robbie Gotts, Football Insider can reveal.
The United rising star has been linked with a number of clubs following his side’s promotion to the Premier League.
A Huddersfield source has told Football Insider that the club have seen off competition from other Football League clubs to agree a loan deal with Leeds for Gotts.
He is set to make the short journey to the Championship outfit following a breakthrough in discussions.
Leeds have given the green light for Gotts to link up with the Terriers’ new manager Carlos Corberan.
The Spaniard quit Elland Road earlier in the summer to take over at the John Smith’s Stadium following the sacking of Danny Cowley.

Corberan managed Gotts at Leeds, where he was in charge of their successful Under-23s side as well as having a first-team coaching role under Marcelo Bielsa.
The youngster is predominantly a central midfielder but can also play at full-back, including right-back.
He has made only two senior appearances for Leeds, both of which came last season.
Gotts was involved in the FA Cup defeat against Arsenal in January as well as the 2-0 Championship defeat to Cardiff City in late June.
Leeds are keen for a young player they rate very highly to get regular senior game time under a coach they trust to develop him in a way that is similar to their own playing style.
