Exclusive: Hutton frets about Aston Villa attacker who has 'All the ability' amid speculation
Alan Hutton revealed his concerns when hearing that Aston Villa attacker Andre Green was to set have his loan with Preston North End terminated.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the former Villans defender admitted that it wasn’t great to hear that things hadn’t worked out for the 21-year-old once again.
Hutton explained that Green had all the ability in the world based on facing him in training but just needed a run of games to get some confidence.
When asked whether it was concerning that Green was having his loan cut short after struggling, Hutton told Football Insider: “Yeah, it’s difficult for him.
“When I was there, he was constantly picking up injuries whether it was his back or hamstring or whatever.

“And he never really got going, he never got a run of games, he’s definitely a player who needs confidence.
“When he’s not playing, when he’s not influencing games, his confidence seems to dip quite quickly.
“It’s not great for a player, he is definitely one of those players who need an arm around him.
“He’s been out on a few loans, whether it be Preston, Portsmouth or wherever it just hasn’t worked out.
“He’s got all the ability in the world, don’t get me wrong, he’s strong, can take people on and I’ve had to mark him myself and he’s a tricky customer.
“I know he has got it in, he just needs to do it on a consistent basis and get playing, get games under his belt and I think that will improve him as a player.”
Green has played a total of 49 times for the Villans but has been loaned out on a couple of the occasions by the club.
The winger is a product of the club’s academy and his future is currently up in the air as his contract expires at the end of the season.
