Exclusive: Key Rangers target agrees to join Wycombe from Bournemouth
Bournemouth midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh has agreed to join Wycombe Wanderers but could still sign a pre-contract at Rangers, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The midfielder, 21, is in advanced talks with Rangers over signing a deal that would see him join in the summer when his Cherries contract expires.
But his immediate future will not be at Ibrox as a recruitment source has told Football Insider he is headed to English Championship club Wycombe on loan.
The second-tier outfit are set to re-sign Ofoborh after beating competition including Sheffield Wednesday, Watford Rotherham United, Lincoln City, Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic.
Bournemouth have given the green light to a deal which means the versatile operator, who can play in defence and midfield, has effectively played his last match for them.
Ofoborh has a strong connection with Wycombe.

He spent last season on loan at Wanderers as they got promoted from League One, making 25 appearances in all competitions.
Rangers’ own pursuit of the player is still alive but hangs in the balance.
Steven Gerrard’s side had hoped to tie it up last week and announce Ofoborh as one of three pre-contract signings along with his Bournemouth teammate Jack Simpson and Aberdeen’s Scott Wright.
But a formal agreement is not yet in place despite advanced negotiations.
Cross-border rules allow the runaway Scottish Premiership leaders to secure Ofoborh’s signature from January onwards.
Football Insider last month that the midfielder has rejected two new contract offers from Bournemouth.
