Exclusive: Leeds backed to sign 'wonderful' £40m-valued international attacker
Michael Brown is adamant that Leeds United would have no problems tempting Bournemouth winger David Brooks as speculation over a deal grows.
The former Leeds midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, was full of praise for the ‘Wales Player of the Year’, claiming “he’ll want to play in the Premier League” next term.
Leeds, Newcastle United, West Ham and Totteham are all in the hunt for the £40million rated ace, according to Wales Online.
Brown has followed his career closely after Brooks burst onto the scene at another of his former clubs Sheffield United and he believes the 23-year-old is “a wonderful talent.”
He went on to scoff at suggestions Marcelo Bielsa’s men could struggle to tempt him to Elland Road, with established Premier League sides reportedly keen.
“We’re talking about Leeds United here,” Brown told Football Insider.

“David Brooks is a wonderful lad, wonderful talent. It never really worked out for him at Manchester City but at Sheffield United he really started to progress.
“I thought he was excellent before he got injured at Bournemouth and now he’s got back on track.
“He’ll want to play in the Premier League, he’s not played in it as much as he would have liked.
“I really like him and I think he will be in the Premier League next year.”
Brooks is still officially the Welsh Player of the Year, an award he won in 2019, despite having an injury-ravaged campaign.
He was plagued by ankle problems as Bournemouth’s five-year Premier League stay came to an end last month, but proved his fitness again post-lockdown and is reportedly ready to hit the ground running for any new club next season.
