Leeds United loanee Lewis Baker is set to be recalled by Chelsea and loaned out to another club this month, Football Insider understands.

Baker joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal in the summer, but he has failed to make an impression at Elland Road despite being named in all 26 of their matchday squads for league matches this season.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has made only two Championship starts all season with Baker struggling to break into Marcelo Bielsa's league leaders.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Chelsea are now set to terminate Baker's season-long loan at the halfway point and ship him out elsewhere in search of regular first-team football.

The deal is set to be ripped up in next 24 hours.

Baker has come through the ranks at Chelsea, but has made just one substitute appearance in the Blues' first-team, spending most of his time at Stamford Bridge out on loan.

The talented midfielder has had spells out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons, Vitesse Arnhem and Middlesbrough prior to his move to Leeds.
