Leeds United have joined Premier League clubs in the race to sign Queens Park Rangers attacker Bright Osayi-Samuel, Football Insider can reveal.
The forward, 22, has taken his career to a new level with his performances for the Londoners since the turn of the year.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider the club have had been making regular checks on Osayi-Samuel before the lockdown and he is a target when the transfer window opens.
This comes after Football Insider revealed in January that Southampton were also keeping close tabs on the striker.
Leeds are set to be in the market for new attacking signings this summer, regardless of whether they get promoted.
Osayi-Samuel is a versatile attacker who is predominantly a right-winger.
He was playing the best football of his career before football’s suspension in mid-March after establishing himself as a key member of Mark Warburton’s side.
Osayi-Samuel fits the profile for the type of player Leeds are interested in as he is young, talented, has the potential to develop as well as high potential resale value.
His current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2021 after QPR triggered a 12-month extension to his expiring deal in February.
Osayi-Samuel has scored six goals and provided eight assists from 32 matches in all competitions this season.
The former Blackpool ace has made 84 appearances for QPR, scoring 10 goals and laying on nine assists.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that the club are in line to sign up senior star after big Premier League club development.
