Southampton are among a number of Premier League clubs eyeing Queens Park Rangers attacker Bright Osayi-Samuel, Football Insider can reveal.

The forward, 22, has been attracting interest from a host of top-flight sides following a series of eye-catching performances for the Londoners in recent weeks.

A Southampton source has told Football Insider the club have been making regular checks on Osayi-Samuel as they prepare a late-window swoop.

The scouting reports on the player have been positive and made clear he is capable of making the step-up to the Premier League.

His stand-out performances has seen him become a key player in Mark Warburton's side and the winger is earning himself a reputation as one of the most exciting attackers in the Football League.
